Our Courses

The goal of Theater in Motion Improv is to create a space where students of all ages can freely express themselves, collaborate with others in meaningful ways, and celebrate their creativity. Our courses are designed to nurture the natural curiosity, imagination, and creative expression of our students, empowering them to develop lasting confidence and life skills.

Courses are offered in Burien and Tukwila or if you are an organization that would like to offer on-site improv theater classes, I can come to your location . Scroll down for more details.

Burien - Preschool Classes at Stepping Stones Early Learning Center

Summer Drop-in Classes for Ages 3-5

Dates and Times: Tuesday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 12 from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm or from 3:30 to 4:15

Location: Stepping Stones Early Learning Center, 15513 Ambaum Blvd SW, Suite 102, Burien, WA 98166

Price: $20 per class

If you are curious about our classes, but not ready to commit to a full course, this is the perfect option for you! Students will have a blast playing collaborative games, expressing themselves as different characters, telling stories, and then acting out their stories.

10-week course for Ages 3-5 - includes a final presentation!

Dates and Times: Tuesday, September 9 to Tuesday, November 11 from 12:30-1:15 pm or from 3:30 to 4:15

Location: Stepping Stones Early Learning Center, 15513 Ambaum Blvd SW, Suite 102, Burien, WA 98166

Price: $180 up front or three monthly payments of $65

Students participate in a weekly theater class that serves as a playful and engaging introduction to the world of theater. In this class, students will explore their creativity, gain self-confidence, and develop social-emotional skills through story-telling and imaginative play.

The course concludes with an exciting theater presentation for families!

Burien - Classes at the Burien Community Center for Ages 7-12

Dates and Times: Every Monday from 5:00-6:00 pm; September 15, 2025 to October 20, 2025

Price: $81-$86 (includes 6 classes)

Join us for a fun and exciting introduction to the world of improv theater! We provide a supportive environment where students can freely express themselves, collaborate with others in meaningful ways, and be a part of a welcoming, creative community. Throughout the course, students will develop self-confidence and interpersonal skills through engaging games and activities. They will finish the course with an understanding of the foundations of improvisational theater and scene building.

Burien - Parent and Child Classes at the Burien Community Center

Dates and Times: Every Monday from 10:00-10:45 am, October 6, 2025 to October 27, 2025

Price: $56-$60 (includes 4 classes)

Throughout this course, families will enjoy interactive storytelling and songs designed to spark imagination and connection. Caregivers will learn simple, engaging ways to involve their little ones in story time using props, motions, and hands-on activities. This shared experience offers families a meaningful opportunity to spend quality time together in a fun, creative environment while also learning easy songs that support early vocabulary development.

Tukwila - Classes for Ages 7-12 at the Tukwila Community Center

Dates and Times: Every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

September 9, 2025 to September 30, 2025

October 7, 2025 to October 28, 2025

November 4, 2025 to December 9, 2025 (no class 11/11 or 11/25)

Price: $50 per session (includes 4 classes)

Come learn the foundations of improvisational theater in a fun and supportive environment. This class is a chance to be a part of a welcoming, creative community and collaborate with others in meaningful ways. Throughout the course, we will use engaging games and activities to explore the importance of environment, character, and objective for scene building. This course is great for developing professional skills such as self-confidence, adaptability, and public speaking! We incorporate different games and exercises each month, so students are welcome to take the course multiple times.

Preschool Theater Courses

I am happy to come to your preschool to provide onsite classes where students explore their creativity and develop social skills through imaginative play! This can be offered as an extracurricular class where I pay you a percentage of my profits, or it can be offered to all students as part of your weekly preschool curriculum. After-school Programs

If you are a school that would like to offer an after-school theater program for students, I would love to hear from you! I can come to schools and teach a weekly, hour-long theater course that focuses on the foundations of improvisational theater, acting, and creative writing. The course includes one showcase and one original production, and it gives students the chance to develop important life-skills in a supportive, creative community. Courses for Adults

I offer adult improv theater courses with a focus on developing professional skills in a welcoming, supportive environment. If you are a community center, college, or university that would like to provide improv theater courses for adults, I’d love to hear from you! Throughout the classes, participants have a chance to practice interviewing, public speaking, making presentations, and having networking conversations through engaging games and activities.
